Answers, straight

What people actually ask us.

No filler, no copy-paste from somebody else's site. Twelve real questions we get most weeks — testing, handling, payment, shipping — answered the way we'd answer them over email.

The basics

001 / 04
Q.01

What exactly is Emulous?

We're a small reference-grade peptide supplier for laboratory researchers. Every vial we ship is intended for in-vitro work — bench studies, assay development, structural characterization. Nothing on this site is sold as a therapeutic, supplement, or consumer product.

Q.02

Who orders from you?

Independent investigators, university labs, contract research groups, and individuals running self-funded research projects. We don't gate-keep credentials, but we do require that you accept the research-use-only terms at checkout.

Q.03

Are these products legal to buy?

Research chemicals sold for laboratory use are legal to purchase in the United States. They are not approved by the FDA for human use, and we don't market them for any human use. The line is real and we hold it.

Quality & testing

101 / 04
Q.04

How are your peptides tested?

Every batch goes through an independent third-party lab for identity (mass spectrometry) and purity (HPLC) before we'll ship a single vial from it. We don't sell the batch until the COA clears.

Q.05

How do I verify the vial in my hand?

Every label has a batch ID printed on it. Pull up the product page on this site, open the COA for that batch, and the numbers should match. If anything looks off, email us the batch ID and we'll send the signed lab report directly. Browse products.

Q.06

What purity do you target?

≥ 99% by HPLC for the compounds we list as standard. A handful of harder-to-synthesize peptides land in the 98–99% range; when that's the case the COA reflects the real number — we don't round up.

Handling & reconstitution

201 / 04
Q.07

How should lyophilized vials be stored?

Sealed, dry, and dark. Long-term storage is -20 °C; short-term (a few weeks) at 2–8 °C is fine. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles — pull a vial out when you're going to use it, not to check on it.

Q.08

How do I reconstitute a peptide?

Use bacteriostatic water. Add it slowly down the inside wall of the vial — never blast it onto the powder. Swirl, don't shake. Most peptides go fully into solution within a minute; if it doesn't, give it five more minutes at room temp before assuming a problem.

Q.09

What's the shelf life after reconstitution?

Stored at 2–8 °C in BAC water, most of our peptides are stable for ~28 days. A few of the more fragile sequences (GLP analogs, growth-factor mimetics) we recommend using within 14. Product pages call out exceptions.

Ordering, payment & shipping

301 / 04
Q.10

How do I pay?

Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, or card at checkout. Each method has its own processing fee that's shown to you before you confirm — we don't quietly tack anything on at the end. QR codes for the wallet methods are right on the checkout page.

Q.11

When does my order ship?

Orders placed Monday–Friday are processed and handed to the carrier within 48 hours. Weekend orders go out Monday. You'll get a tracking number by email as soon as the label is printed.

Q.12

Is packaging discreet?

Yes. Plain outer box, no Emulous branding on the exterior, no compound names on the shipping label. The invoice goes by email, not in the box.

Q.13

Something arrived damaged or wrong — what now?

Email us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and a photo of the issue and we'll replace it or refund it. Once a product has shipped intact and accurately we don't issue refunds, so please double-check the cart before checkout. Contact us.

Q.14

Do you do wholesale or bulk pricing?

Yes — for repeat institutional buyers or larger one-time orders. Email us with "Wholesale" in the subject, what you're after, and the rough volume. You'll usually hear back the same day.

One more question?

Ask it. We read every message ourselves and most get a reply the same day.
